When is The Rare Fair?
Friday, September 27, 2019, 7am-7pm ET
What is the format of The Rare Fair?
The Rare Fair is a 100% virtual event designed to reach the global rare audience. The Fair is structured just like a traditional ground event with a lobby, exhibit hall, auditorium, breakout sessions, swag and more! The Rare Fair is accessible from any laptop, tablet, or mobile phone.
What is included in the registration?
All scheduled breakout sessions, access to the exhibitor hall, access to the exclusive patient resource room, diagnosis-specific patient networking rooms, all breakout sessions, more!
What is the cost to attend?
Early bird registration for patients and caregivers is only $19 through May 31st, then tickets are $24.
How do I register for sessions?
You will not be required to register for the keynote or any sessions on our breakout tracks, however, some events might fill up quickly. We recommend you join the session 3-5 minutes before it begins. If you do miss a session, you'll have on-demand access to selected sessions within 24 hours after the event ends. We'll let you know when the on-demand feature is live via email.
What happens in a session?
Each session will feature a speaker who will present on their topic, then take questions. The questions can be asked by attendees in a live chat format and will be moderated. Any questions not answered during the session will be emailed to the speaker, who will then follow-up with attendees.
What if I only catch the session on-demand and I have a question?
Since the event is available on-demand for 30 days, you’ll be able to reach out to the speaker via the chat function and that person will receive a notification from us to follow-up.
How do I access the event?
You will receive a private link with your login details before the event launches.
Do I have to be on my computer to attend? Do I need special software?
The Rare Fair is available on any pc, laptop, tablet, or mobile phone and does not require any special software to participate, however, you’ll need to download the Zoom app in order to join the sessions. (There’s no charge to download Zoom.)
What is included in registration?
All scheduled breakout sessions, access to the exhibitor hall, the patient resource room, patient education rooms, swag boxes (if you’re stateside), and the opportunity to participate in giveaways.
How do I network with people at the Fair?
The Rare Fair offers several networking opportunities to connect via live chat with other attendees, exhibitors or presenters. You can also connect in our patient networking rooms.
What is the registration cancellation policy?
Given that all event content is available on-demand for 30 days after the event, we are unable to provide refunds.
How do I register as a speaker?
Speakers will receive an email with registration instructions once they are confirmed. All speakers receive a comped event pass.

What if I miss a session or an exhibitor?
No problem! All content is available for 30 days after the event. Just use your login to access presentations, visit exhibitor booths, send a message to an exhibitor or reach out to another attendee.
What is “Spot the Zebra?”
Spot the Zebra is a little game we like to play during Fair. As attendees enter sessions and booths, they'll have the opportunity to "Spot the Zebra" to collect points. The attendee with the most points will receive a prize pack.
What is the Digital Binder?
It's hard to carry around paper virtually, so our fair material is all electronic. Resources that attendees find helpful can be saved to your binder and downloaded at your convenience within the 30-day window.
How much information can others see about me? Can I choose to share my info with others?
Other attendees can only see your name. This is available so other attendees can chat with you.
Do I have to share my information in order to participate in gamification?
Yes, but only with The Rare Fair staff.
Can I share my information with exhibitors?
Absolutely! Each exhibitor booth is fully manned for the duration of the event with a representative. You can connect with these representatives via live chat during the event.
