Carrie Ostrea is a rare disease expert, advocacy strategist and speaker working with families, nonprofit organizations, and biotech/pharma industry partners for more than a decade. Her role as a “dragon mom” and years as Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Little Miss Hannah Foundation, a 501(c)3, non-profit organization created to honor her 3-year-old daughter, Hannah, fuels her passion for the rare disease community. Since Hannah lost her battle to Gaucher Type 2/3, an ultra-rare genetic disorder, Carrie has dedicated herself to providing expert guidance and training in the strategic and operational aspects of nonprofit management, marketing, research, and patient program development working with more than 300 rare disease nonprofit organizations. As the principal of Ostrea Consulting, LLC, Carrie utilizes her personal and professional experience to mentor and support new and existing nonprofit foundations.
She will be adding to her extensive experience with the completion of her MBA in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University in the Spring of 2019.
